Pictured Rocks
Hike the Chapel Loop on the North Country Trail. You guys, for real for real you gotta do this hike if you came all this way. It’s 10 miles, and boasts amazing cliff views. Set up your phone or camera and take a self-timed photo of you two at some of the viewpoints. I promise this hike is so worth it. Have dinner at Tracey’s at Roam Inn. Go on a Pictured Rocks cruise. Rent sea kayaks and kayak to Lovers Arch. Do a day trip to Grand Island. Make a detour on your way home and stop at Kitch-iti-kipi, Michigan's largest natural freshwater spring, or Tahquamenon Falls State Park.
Marquette
Visit Sugarloaf Mountain and Presque Isle Park. Check out the Lakenenland Sculpture Park. Eat a pasty at Jean Kay’s Pasties. Walk around downtown Marquette. Grab dinner and drinks at Blackrocks Brewery, Donckers, or Lagniappe Cajun Creole Eatery. Get ice cream at Jilbert Dairy. Visit the Iron Ore Heritage Trail.
Traverse City Area
Go wine tasting on Old Mission Peninsula and Leelanau Peninsula. Visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Walk around downtown and check out the specialty shops and art galleries. Have a beer and play games at Hop Lot. Visit Leabo Farm to see the incredible sunflower fields. If you’re into sushi, go for dinner at Red Ginger.
Porcupine Mountains
Drive up to the Lake of the Clouds parking lot where there’s a short walk up to the overlook. Have brunch at Lynn's North Country Cafe. Visit Summit Peak and the Presque Isle River. Get ice cream at Sip N Snack. Check out the waterfalls at Bond Falls. Grab a quick bite at Curbside Chicken.
Petoskey
