November 2021 Top 10 Faves

November was a doozy! In the best way. I finished an insane busy season and began an early maternity leave as we prepared to welcome baby #2 in early December. We also announced that we’re moving out of state! We’re currently in the process of selling our home and purchasing a new one in Phoenix, Arizona! It’s been an absolutely wild month for our family. Never a dull moment around here.

Here are the activities, products, and things that have brought joy during this past month:

  1. The Sweatshirt I Permanently Live In

No joke. This sweatshirt is one of 3 I have on rotation from Aerie. Leo was a September baby so I have zero winter maternity clothes and I refuse to buy any being this close to the finish line. I have this in a size small and it’s so oversized it covers the bump and stays on trend.

2. Calling Santa

Seeing Leo’s face light up as we rang up the big guy a few times was absolutely priceless. If you have children, don’t skip this! Santa’s number is 951-262-3062. It takes you straight to voicemail where you can leave him a message and tell him what you want for Christmas.

3. Falling by T.J. Newman

This was one of the top 5 books I’ve read this year. I’m a sucker for a page-turner and this one definitely delivered.

4. The First Snow

Pure magic. Leo, Ryan, and I ventured outside and built the first snowman of the year. The boys make snow angels. I did not participate because pregnancy.

5. Maternity/Nursing Bras

These are so comfortable I can see myself wearing them long after the nursing days are over.

6. Backpack Diaper Bag

One of the things I’m most excited about for baby #2 is going from a shoulder diaper bag to a backpack diaper bag. After months of research, I finally chose one. It was not the one I originally had in mind, either! At first I wanted a bougie one around the $200 range. However, I consulted some mom friends who had them and their reviews turned me off a bit. So I put the search on hold until the very last minute. What changed my mind was that the last few family sessions I did, they were all using this backpack diaper bag from Amazon. At that price point, I figured why the heck not. Once it arrived and I started organizing it with all of our junk, I really fell in love with its versatility. Plus, I love the color and the fact it’s washable.

7. Color Bath Drops

Leo is going through an anti-bath phase. My best friend recommended these color bath drops, and they totally worked! He was instantly interested in taking a color bath. Toddler problem #677 solved.

8. Facial Masks

Facial sheet masks. Do these really work? We can’t be sure. But something about using these facial sheet masks makes me feel like I’m doing self-care right. I wash my face, dry it, sometimes bust out my facial steamer, and then put one of these on for about 10 minutes. Then Ryan makes fun of me and Leo stares at me like I’m a monster that ate his mom. ~*Treat yoself*~

9. Makeup Setting Powder

I’m going to be honest, I have rarely put on makeup this month. But when I went back to review some of my November purchases for this blog post, this makeup setting powder came up. I was completely out of it and I realized I refuse to do my makeup without this. If you have oily or uneven skin, you need this setting powder in your makeup bag!

10. Keepsake Ornament

I ordered this DIY handprint ornament to use on baby once he gets here. I can’t wait to hang it on the tree for his first Christmas! If you
